Tillin was a member of the Crimson Guard. He was part of Iron Bars' Second Blade, Fourth Company. He always carried two long-knives.[1]
In Return of the Crimson Guard[]
The remnants of the Second Blade were pulled from a sinking raft in the Southern Rust Sea by the slave galley Ardent. Iron Bars and his soldiers commandeered the ship and made their way to the southwest, towards Stratem, their eventual goal.[2] Tillin was on board the Ardent when a party of Seguleh boarded the vessel. Despite orders from Iron Bars, he did not fully disarm and instead attacked one of the Seguleh with his remaining long-knife. Tillin was killed instantly by the Seguleh.[1]
Trivia[]
Although Iron Bars' Second Blade was introduced in Midnight Tides, the name 'Tillin' was never used in the book's text. Several members of the blade remained unnamed throughout the novel so it is possible one of them was indeed Tillin.
