Thrones of War were massive warships of Perish origin, resembling enormous catamarans. Each one was in fact made up of two dromons linked by arching spans, creating a catamaran of cyclopean proportions with a double bank of oars on the inward side of each dromon, foreshortened by the spans.

Shield Anvil Tanakalian reflected that he loved the flagship of the Perish fleet, an earlier class of Throne of War, which had fewer, larger cabins and was carved so that the trimaran appeared as the biting maw of a wolf.
