Soen was the Captain of the Legate's bodyguard in Darujhistan.

Soen was forced to recruit Scorch and Leff as guards as a part of the bodyguard due to guild rules, though he did not hide his displeasure for being forced to do so.[1]
He was furious when Scorch and Leff checked in with him at the Great Hall to report that the manor they were guarding was all clear, since they did it in a very public fashion in an embarrassing way. He initially fired them since they had abandoned their posts, only to have them re-instated on the orders of the mouthpiece of the Legate.[2]
