The "Oar and Anchor" was an inn - where drinks and meals could be obtained - located on the waterfront of Malaz City. It was an establishment where a number of the Malaz Island's magical community were regulars. These "Oar and Anchor" regulars were part of the island's defense system against the periodic incursions of the dreaded Stormriders who came up from the 'Strait of Storms' to attack the southern coast of the island.[1]
In Deadhouse Landing[]
Nedurian, a retired battle mage, had recently come to the island and had become one of these regulars at the "Oar and Anchor", becoming a defender along with them against the threat of the Stormriders.[2]
