Brukhalian was the Mortal Sword and commander[1] of Fener's Reve (the Grey Swords)[2] in Capustan. He was described as being of formidable height and build, with long, wavy black hair unbound and down to just above his belted hips. He had brown eyes.[3]

Brukhalian and his Grey Swords were in the employ of Prince Jelarkan.[4] As Capustan was preparing for the onslaught by the Pannion Seer, Brukhalian and Karnadas were contacted by Quick Ben.[5]
Gethol contacted Brukhalian to offer a way out of Capustan for the Grey Swords if they changed their God from Fener to Hood. Shortly after, the Mortal Sword was betrayed and given to the mercy of another god by Rath'Fener, and killed by the Pannion Seer's forces. He and his four hundred followers walked knowingly into that ambush, their resolve unshaken. At Brukhalian's death, Hood himself appeared to take his soul.
